Day 41 – Home again.
We had breakfast at the hotel and then when
we went to get our luggage out of our room, we found our key wouldn’t
work. David went back down to the desk
and got it to work and we collected our luggage and met the others in the lobby
for ride to the airport. We had to wait
around for almost 2 hours for our flight.
We were there extra early because one of the couples had a flight an
hour before us. David and I paid 10 RMB
for twenty minutes in a chair massage. Made
my back feel so much better!
The flight to Ji’nan went well. We took the shuttle bus back and didn’t get
off where we should have but went all the way to the main terminal. We had to catch a taxi back to our campus,
which meant we had to go to a certain area, wait in a long line and then get
the next available taxi. He seemed like
a good guy and his cab was cleaner than most.
We got home about 3 p.m.
We had no water when we got here. I found out when I flushed the toilet. It came back on about 2 hours later. Our friend Sherry came over and we told her
all about our trip and gave her the terra cotta warrior we had bought for
her. She sure is a bright young
woman. I hope she gets her chance to
study in the US.
We decided to go out to eat tonight. Just too tired and trying to do things to get
caught up from the trip.
